Purpose
The purpose of this web site is twofold. The first is to inform the homeland security and preparedness research communities and the general public of the composition and workings of the Resilient Communities Research Consortium (RCRC). We have reserved the copyright on the material presented here over which we have ownership. We invite interested parties to contact us to learn more about us.
The second purpose is to facilitate communications among the members of the Consortium and to serve as a repository for Consortium products. The products deemed sensitive or proprietary are behind a login and are available to Consortium members only.
RCRC Mission/Goals
The mission of the RCRC is to improve resilience in rural and urban communities.
The overall goals of the RCRC are to develop an understanding of how communities engage in resilience planning, model how they engage, and develop tools and resources that enable communities to become more resilient.
We accomplish the mission and goals through collaborative, sustainable, community-based, multi-institutional, interdisciplinary, empirical and applied urban and rural resilience research.
