Mike Todorovich resides in Clendenin , West Virginia . He started working for Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety Office of the Secretary , Homeland Security State Administrative Agency (HS SAA) in February 2007. As Interoperability Coordinator, Mike’s primary responsibility is to plan, coordinate, and guide processes for continued development of a statewide connectivity and interoperability system which is generic (transparent) to the various types of systems with local, state, and federal agencies. He will also serve as primary communications and information technology advisor to Cabinet Secretary Jim Spears and Mr. Terry Miller , Director of Homeland Security State Administrative Agency. Mike graduated from Collins High School, Oak Hill , West Virginia , received his bachelors degree from University of Charleston , and a Masters of Religion from Liberty University . He recently retired from the West Virginia Army National Guard with forty years service at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his military service, Mike served the last twenty two years as a federal technician as J6 and Deputy Chief of Staff, Information Management (DCSIM). In this position, he lead Information Technology efforts, including automation, telecommunications, Information Technology Security, interoperability initiatives and visual information for over fifty physical sites and 2,000 users. In his military career, he received numerous accolades, certificates, plaques, and other acknowledgements as he led West Virginia to national prominence in areas of Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS), Distributed Learning Technology (DLN) (ranked as first in nation), Emergency Operation Center (EOC) development, and development and deployment of mobile emergency communications kits. During Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, he deployed with one of these mobile kits and served as Task Force Belle Chasse J6 for the entire task force. During his military career, he had the distinguished honor to be a briefer to President Bush. As a military officer, LTC (Ret) Todorovich served the State of West Virginia uniquely as a Liaison Officer for many floods and other state disasters. The Adjutant General for West Virginia often called on Mike to deploy quickly to assess damage to infrastructure and seek solutions to quickly return towns, cities, and counties back to normal. Mike has earned many awards and accolades during his career, such as Legion of Merit, Order of St. George Armor Award, Meritorious Service Award, and various other significant awards. He served as Past President of West Virginia Officer’s Association, Past President of West Virginia National Officer Candidate School Alumni Association, Past Vice-President of Appalachian Regional Advent Christian Association, Past President of West Virginia Advent Christian Conference. Currently, Mike also serves as a “cohort” leader and instructor for a “Leadership” program for undergraduates at Mountain State University. Mike considers it an honor and privilege to serve his nation and state as interoperability coordinator. |
